U16: Slovakia substantially won over Czech republic
Slovak team dominanet in the anticipated derby and won 4:0.
First period of the game was significant mainly for a lot of penalties (3 players on each side). But both goalkeepers, Czech Sladkovský and Slovak Godla showed excellent performance.
Second period started with 2 min. penalty for Czech team, which spend more time in the dressing room, than si allower by the rules. Slovak team took the advantage of powerplay and Lubomir Dinda opened the score. The home team tried to equalize, mainly under the lead of captain Zvonek, but Czech players weren’t able to overcome the excellent Slovak goalie Godla. Chances were also on the other side, in 25th minute Strauch missed Czech cage from near.
Slovak team had better start to the third period. Okuliar sent a shot past Sladkovsky from the right barrier. After 34 seconds Slovaks led 3:0 after Hirkala’s shot. Czech team then got Slovaks under pressure, but without scoring effect. The home team senselesly tried to play last few seconds without goalkeeper. Slovak Dinda took the advantage and scored for the second time i this match.
