U18: Derby between Czechs and Slovaks without Winner

The last game of the second day od World Championship between Czech republic and Slovakia was nearly the same, as the derby between younger teams few hours earlier. Nervous with number of penalties on both sides, so the spectators didn’t see very nice street hockey during the first period. But they would see goals, Cempirek was the first player from the home team who scored during Czech  power play.  Equation came right after, Slovak team took the advantage of power play and Salka reached Halas‘ shot from the blue line to the Czech cage.

Second period was nearly the same as the first, with constantly full penalty box, but also with goals on both sides. Průcha’s nice shot from the space between the rings opened the score in 23rd minute. Then Olyšar, skillful Czech forward, broke his ankle behind the Slovak cage and left the game. Slovak team equalized in 27:49 by Halas.  Visiting team then took the lead. In 40th minute when Salka scored for the second time in the match. But just three minutes later Czech players equalized, Polívka closed the score of the game.  Both teams can také this match as rough test before tomorrow, when they will meet again. But this time in the battle for finals .
