U18: In hit of the first day Canada defeated the Czech Republic
Outstanding duel was presented in the U 18 category by teams from the Czech Republic and Canada. This match became hit of the day. A huge crowd saw a very dramatic game, which finished with the win of Canadian representation. Crucial were powerplays in the last part of the match.

Both teams started game without any respect for each other, chances were on the both sides, but without the scoring effect. Both goalies showed an excellent performance. Canada didn’t take the advantage of double powerplay in the first period.
The viewers saw the first goal in the second part of the game. And it was to the canadian net in 23rd minute, after Olišars succesful shot. The Czech Goalkeeper was very lucky after a very dangerous shot that finished on the post of his cage.
Czechs took their one goal lead to the 37th minute, but lost it after a double powerplay. After Shaws shot ball ended behind the back of the Czech goalie Peschout. In less than two minutes, Canada lead after another succesful shot by Monkhouse. In the end of 42nd minute Shaw added third goal during powerplay. Canadians then took their led to the finish of the match. In the very finish of the match, the Czech team played without goalkeeper with six players against 3 Canadians in a double powerplay, but without any scoring effect.
