Canadians started fiercely right after the opening whistle and put their pressure to good use at 1:34, when Greenaway opened the score after the shot from the blue line. Twenty seconds later Simpson increased their lead and the crowd didn’t have to wait long for another goals. Lelievre scored in 8th minute, Robitaille was succesful just one minute later, and Tedesco, Lelievre again and Davison followed his example. Swiss team had a chance to score their consolation goal when Müller ran away during Canadian power play, but Canadian goalkeeper was prepared. Belter added another Canadian goal and Kontos closed the first period score on 10:0.

Swiss coaches decided to switch goalkeepers for the second part of the game. Röthlisberger resisted for quite a long time, but at last he was surmounted by Lelievre at 28:01.

Swiss team succeed in the last part of the game, when Studer scored in 33rd minute. But than Canadian shooters started their cannonade again. Monkhouse was the first succesful shooter, Greer added another goal few seconds later and final score was set by Tedesco, who scored his second goal in this match at 43:22.

Canadian players will play in the finals tomorrow at17.00 with the winner from the derby between Czech republic and Slovakia.
